Garlic Knot Pizza Pull Apart Bread

Ingredients

1 izzio Roasted Garlic Batard
1/4 c pizza or marinara sauce, plus more for serving
2 oz pepperoni
3/4 c shredded mozzarella
2 tbsp butter, melted
2 tsp Italian flat leaf parsley, chopped
1 clove garlic, minced
pinch of red pepper flakes
salt to taste
basil, for serving

Instructions

  • Step 01
    Preheat oven to 375 degrees. Prepare baking sheet with enough foil to wrap entirety of bread loaf.
  • Step 02
    Cut 1 inch slits, taking care not to cut all the way through loaf, in a crosswise pattern.
  • Step 03
    Distribute pizza sauce between bread cubes, followed by cheese and pepperoni.
  • Step 04
    In a small bowl, combine butter, parsley, garlic, pepper flakes, and salt. Brush entirety of loaf with butter mixture, taking care to get sides.
  • Step 05
    Transfer loaf to foil, wrap, and bake for 15 minutes. Remove bread from oven, open foil, and place under broiler on low until cheese melts, pepperoni crisps, and bread is golden brown.
  • Step 06
    Finish with fresh basil. Serve warm with additional tomato sauce for dipping.
