Ingredients

1 izzio French Baguette
2oz capicola
3oz Genoa salami
4oz prosciutto
4oz mortadella
4oz provolone cheese
1 1/2 c shredded lettuce
4 peppadew peppers, coarsely chopped
1/4 c hot giardiniera
1 tbsp red wine vinegar
2 tsp olive oil
pinch of red pepper flakes,
salt to taste
8 toothpicks

Instructions

  • Step 01
    Preheat oven to 400 degrees. Place izzio baguette in oven for 7-10 minutes, until crust crisps up. Remove from oven and allow to cool slightly.
  • Step 02
    While bread cools, add lettuce to a medium bowl. Dress with red wine vinegar, olive oil, and salt to taste. Optionally, add a pinch of red pepper flakes. Toss to combine.
  • Step 03
    Cut baguette lengthwise and scoop out the inside of top half. Layer on meats and cheese, followed by dressed lettuce, giardiniera, and peppers. Top with scooped-out half.
  • Step 04
    Evenly space 8 toothpicks and press through sandwich to secure. Cut sandwich into 8 servings, using toothpicks in the center of each serving as a guide.
